The Hound Blog is owned and maintained by a human girl you might know as hounddog or Cate, depending on the where and how. She’s a 23-year-old American student, out of college since May 2007 and now working towards her Masters. Until then - and, let’s be honest, long afterwards - she’ll be watching anime, offering insight and commentary, and trying desperately to cling to the carefree days of her youth.

Outside of anime, this human’s passions range from creative writing and photography to horseback riding and leisurely strolls around town. She’s headed off to grad school in the fall and should probably find a job so she can pay her rent, but for now all she wants to do is take a nap.

If you’re curious, “hounddog” comes from this girl’s fondness for her very rotund Beagle, Rocky. Think it’s weird to be so devoted to your dog? Clearly, you lack a hound in your life.
